This three-lesson unit is designed to teach students about producing, preparing, and preserving California specialty crop commodities. Lessons include inquiry-based, real-life challenges that engage students in a meaningful way as they discover the story behind how their food is produced. To extend the lessons, student workbooks with independent reading and activities are available. Includes one Teacher Guide and a class set of 30 student workbooks. Aligned to California Academic Standards for grades 5-8. Limit: 1 per educator.
